Hiring a Worker From Asia – Step by Step Process
From the initial request to the first working day: what happens at every stage, who is responsible for what, and how long the process really takes in Bulgaria.

Table of contents
1. Request and position profile
Everything starts with an accurate description of the position: headcount, duties, shift patterns, required experience, pay conditions, and the start date. The more detailed the brief, the more accurate the selection.
- Headcount and job titles (e.g. production operator, welder, warehouse worker)
- Requirements: experience, qualifications, language skills
- Conditions: rate, bonuses, shifts, overtime
- Housing: provided by the employer or organized by us
2. Candidate pre-selection
We source candidates through local partners in recruitment countries. We verify documents, experience, and motivation, then provide profiles for the employer's approval.
Standard selection does not include practical tests. These are organized at the client's request for an additional fee.
3. Work permit
After approving candidates, we prepare documents and file applications with the Employment Agency or the Migration Directorate. This is the longest stage that determines the arrival date.
- Employer registration documents
- Application for the specific position and conditions
- Communication with authorities to resolve any missing info
4. Visa and consular formalities
With the permit obtained, the candidate applies for a type D visa at a Bulgarian consulate. Deadlines depend on the workload of the consular office in the respective country.
5. Arrival, relocation, and adaptation
- 1
Transport
Flight organization and transfer from the airport to the accommodation.
- 2
Housing
Housing prepared before arrival according to the agreed standard.
- 3
First days
Address registration, obtaining a personal number (LNCH), bank account, medicals, and briefing.
6. Care after hiring
After work starts, a Primework coordinator monitors document deadlines, assists with communication, and responds to crises to ensure team stability.
